Fresh off the success of his album, The Mail Man, E-40 went right back to work. In 1995 40 Water released his second full length solo album, In A Major Way. Peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, In A MajorWay produced three singles and music videos. E-40 always stayed true to his family and loyal to his rap friends, Dusted n’ Disgusted featured 2 Pac, Spice 1 & Mac Mall. 1 Luv featured Levitti and the stand out track was Sprinkle Me with 40’s sister Suga-T, those songs reached number 4 and 5, respectfully on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart. In A Major Way climbed to number 13 on the Billboard 200.

  

In 1996 E-4o showed no signs of slowing down as he released The Hall Of Game. The first single was Rappers Ball with Bay Area Legend Too Short and K-Ci of Jodeci. Rappers Ball reached number 4 on the Billboard Rap Songs chart and number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video was great with cameo apprences by Ice-T and 2 Pac. E-40 also released Things’ll Never Change with a Bruce Hornsby sample of That’s The Way It Is. Things’ll Never Change peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop Songs chart. E-40 showed his diversity in this video with a positive message to the youth. The Hall Of Game ended up sitting at number 2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.
