David Caudillo began his radio career in 1991 at the age of 17. David programmed and produced a Hip-Hop radio show called “Cosmic Cat Radio” on KTAA 94.3FM in Kerman, CA. In 1992, “Cosmic Cat Radio” expanded into “Jammin’ 94” and aired an Urban format 24/7. David took to the airwaves from 6pm-10pm, and by years end became the station’s Music Director After several newspaper articles, Teen Tempo, a local section of the Fresno Bee, named David “Favorite Radio Personality”.

In March 1995 David went to work for KQEQ “Kickin’1220AM” in Fresno, CA as a weekend DJ. The small radio station played Motown oldies and only operated 6am-8pm. Three month’s later David, now 21, was asked to take over as Program Director and morning show host. David, revamped “Kickin’ 1220”, and put together an eclectic mix of music. Old School and modern R&B, flavored with Rap and Soul Oldies. David put together a high profile promotion stance and made a lot of noise in the Fresno market and was not only recognized in local newspapers, but in national radio trade magazines. In 1996 he was named “Outstanding On Air Personality-Radio” and even won an NAACP Image Award in 1997 for “Outstanding Media Person -Radio/Television” At age 23, David was the youngest Image Award recipient

In 1999 David went to work for KKPW “94.3FM The Party”, in Fresno. David was the morning show host and later moved off the air, learned other aspects of radio and became the station manager. A format change, in 2002, gave birth to “KOKO 94”. Overseeing sales, traffic, accounting and production, at 28, David was named Operations Manager. “KOKO 94” was the first radio station to bring Latin Hip Hop & Reggaeton to the Fresno airwaves. After 7 years there, David resigned.

In 2006 David went to work for CBS Radio. David was named Assistant Program Director for KMGV Mega 97.9 and Imaging Director for KFJK 105.9 Jack-FM. He was the air every mid-day 10am-3pm on KMGV and was the local voice for KFJK. In 2007 David won the Peak Broadcasting Pinnacle Award for “Rookie Employee of the Year”.

In 2009 David joined Clear Channel Media & Entertainment, as a traffic reporter and later as the interim News Director for the 8 station cluster. After the launch of Clear Channel’s KFBT 103.7 The Beat, David began working exclusively for the new station, hosting all events and concerts. In 2012 David became KFBT’s first On-Air Personality. His radio show airs Monday-Friday 7am-2pm and Saturday’s 9a-3pm. He also programs and schedules all music and has been a very recognizable and trusted voice in Fresno radio for over 21 years.

About Me
  • I’ve been in radio for over 20 years, but it doesn’t seem that long. Funny, I started with my own Hip-Hop/R&B show that aired on a Country station back in 1991. A lot of the music you hear on 103.7 The Beat, I played when it was brand new….that’s how old I am.

I'm married to my wife, Julie and together we have three sons Michael, Christian and Hayden. In my free time I’m always traveling with my family to the beach, the mountains and my wife and I visit Las Vegas through-out the year. We’re always BBQ-ing and entertaining friends and family on the weekends

I have been extremely lucky, in radio. Born and raised in Fresno, I graduated from Central High School in 1991
