I’ve been in radio for over 20 years, but it doesn’t seem that long. Funny, I started with my own Hip-Hop/R&B show that aired on a Country station back in 1991. A lot of the music you hear on 103.7 The Beat, I played when it was brand new….that’s how old I am.

Uncle L turns 45 today...yes 45 years old. LL Cool J is known for his many hits such "Mama Said Knock You Out", "Going Back To Cali" "Doin' It" his love ballads, "I Need Love," "Who Do You Love," "Hey Lover ft Boyz II Men, " "Baby ft The Dream," and "Luv U Better," LL has recorded thirteen albums, and outside of music he is a fashion designer and actor.
LL Cool J has been featured in various films and television shows: Deliver Us From Eva, In Too Deep, Any Given Sunday, S.W.A.T, B.A.PS, In The House, the CBS crime drama, NCIS: Los Angeles, and many more. He wrote four books, I Make My Own Rules, And the Winner Is, The Platinum Workout, with personal trainer, Dave "Scooter" Honig, and LL Cool J (Hip-Hop Stars) with Chuck D from the group, Public Enemy.
LL is a family man as well. He married his high school sweetheart, Simone I. Smith and he's a father of four children: Najee Laurent Todd Eugene Smith, Italia Anita Maria Smith, Samaria Leah Wisdom Smith, and Nina Simone Smith .
